Fulfillment Hub USA – Replenishment: Break Cases into Eaches (ShipHero Mobile)
Use case:
An order needs eaches (individual units) of an SKU, but the warehouse only has cases available in the source locations.
ShipHero’s Replenishment Mobile workflow helps the team:
-
Identify where full cases are stored.
-
Guide the picker to pick a case,
-
Break it into eaches, and
-
Put those eaches into the correct pickable location.
Note: For an overview of the full feature, see Replenishment Mobile documentation.
Steps: Breaking Cases into Eaches
1. See which eaches need replenishment
In Replenishment Mobile, you’ll first see a list of SKUs that require eaches to be replenished.

2. Review source locations (cases available)
When you tap into a specific SKU, you can open the locations view.
Here you’ll see:
-
The replenish-to location(s) where eaches are needed.
-
The replenish-from locations, which currently hold cases of that SKU.

5. Scan the source location (cases)
Next, scan the location that currently holds the cases.
Once scanned, you will be prompted to pick the cases from that location.

6. Scan the putaway (eaches) location
Now scan the putaway location—this is the location where the eaches will be stored.
You cannot select a location that only contains cases.
The putaway location must be a pickable eaches location.

7. Break the case and place eaches
After scanning the destination:
-
ShipHero will instruct the user to open the case(s).
-
The picker should break the case into individual units and place those eaches into the scanned location.

Once done, ShipHero confirms the movement and updates the quantities.
8. Return to the replenishment list
After completing the step for that SKU:
-
You’ll be taken back to the Putaway / Replenishment list.
-
The app will show the next item that needs replenishing.

9. Verify locations after case break
When you check the locations for that SKU again, you’ll see that:
-
The eaches have been added to the destination (pickable) location.
-
The cases have been removed (or reduced) from the source case location, reflecting the break.

This workflow is how Fulfillment Hub USA uses ShipHero Replenishment to smoothly convert cases into eaches, keeping pick locations stocked and ready for order fulfillment.
